Demurrage and detentions automation and dwell center

Below is a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to create an automation for destination demurrage and detentions, as well as how to adjust detention days.

Steps for Creating the Automation:

  • Navigate to the left sidebar and select the "Automations" option.

  • Click on "Create Automation" to begin the process

  • To rename the automation, click the pencil icon next to the title, make the desired changes, and then save them.

  • Click on the "+" icon and select "Dwell Status Changed.”

  • You have the option to add filters (e.g., Partners, Location, Flag, etc.). For example, in this case, we selected "Location" and chose "Antwerpen.”

  • Add another step by clicking on the "+" icon, and then select "Monitor Dwell.”

  • Now, choose "Destination Demurrage" as the monitoring type, and select any necessary differentiations, if needed.

  • Once again, under the filters, click the "+" icon and select "Monitor Dwell." Then, choose "Destination Detention" as the monitoring type, and select any differentiations if required.

  • To activate this automation, click "Automation is On" located in the top right corner. Once activated, the automation will be ready for use.

Checking the Dwell Center and Adding the Dwell Duration:

  • Navigate to the sidebar and click on "Dwell Center."

  • In this section, you will find all the tradeflows that require the number of days to be specified.

  • Click on the pencil icon to edit, add the number of days for each rule, and then confirm the changes.

  • The rule is now up to date.
